José P. Chan
José is the Founder of NYFRA. He is a general manager, entrepreneur and educator that has spent 22+ years in the fashion retail and luxury goods sector having worked for Loro Piana, LVMH and Richemont. He is the Vice President Business Development for Celect, a predictive analytics retail technology firm founded at MIT. He has extensive international experience and has held positions in buying, design, marketing, merchandising, planning, production, corporate sales and general management. Additionally, he is a Professor at Parsons The New School For Design where he has taught Retailing, as well as Merchandising courses for 10+ years. He has also taught at the Fashion Institute of Technology and Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
José has been invited to lecture on Retailing at various industry conferences, as well as Columbia University, Cornell University, Fashion Institute of Technology, Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, New York University, The University of Navarra, Parsons the New School For Design and The University of Rochester. He is a mentor at XRC Labs and is an Advisory Board Member for the Cornell Institute for Fashion and Fiber Innovation. A native New Yorker, José is fluent in Spanish, Italian and is conversant in French.

Arden Julia Kern
Arden is currently the Studio Manager of the New York based luxury label Sies Marjan, which had its debut collection during New York Fashion Week in February of 2016. Prior to that she managed the studio for Calvin Klein Women’s Collection Design. In these role she has worked both within the design studio, developing collections both runway and commercial, as well collaborating with many influential artists, stylists and production professionals throughout the industry. Her earlier experience included positions at Ralph Lauren in both Design and Production for Black Label and Collection. While studying at Parsons she had her first professional experience with roles at Isaac Mizrahi, Alexander Wang, Helmut Lang, Theory and Alberta Ferretti. She currently resides in New York and is one of the co-founders of NYFRA.

Brittany currently works as the Senior Analyst for the Omnichannel Customer Experience team at Bloomingdale's. Before transitioning into this marketing and data driven role, Brittany gained insightful retail business experience from managing diverse private label brands as the Assistant Buyer for Bloomingdale’s Diamonds and Fine Jewelry; and then as the Senior Assistant Buyer for the contemporary women's RTW-brand, AQUA.
Brittany has experience in various facets of retail, through internships at Jerry Tobias, Roberto Cavalli, Lacoste and Rent the Runway in Textile imports, PR, Merchandising and Marketing. She also serves on the Advisory Board of the GlamourGals Foundation and as the Co-Chair for their annual Glamour in the City fundraiser. In addition to working with NYFRA, Brittany is a member of the Alumni Board of Directors for the YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund Alumni Association.

Katie is an apparel designer, with experience in product and fabric development, production management and creative direction.
Her most recent experiences have included design and product development at Everlane, an online retailer for men's and women's apparel, and as Co-Founder and Head of Product at Wool&Prince, a menswear startup. At both of these roles, Katie has been involved with product at all stage, from initial concept and sourcing, to production and product presentation.
Her earlier positions include design at Tracy Reese, J. Crew, and Mandy Coon as well as internships at The Row, and Natori.
