José P. Chan

José is the Founder of NYFRA. He is a General Manager and Entrepreneur that has spent 22+ years in the fashion and luxury goods sector having worked for Roberto Cavalli, Isaac Mizrahi Couture, Loro Piana, Louis Vuitton Moet Hennessey and Compagnie Financière Richemont SA. He is the Vice President of Business Development for CELECT, a retail technology firm founded at MIT. He has extensive international experience in Retail and Wholesale. He has held positions in buying, design, marketing, merchandising, planning, production, retail store management, corporate sales and general management, along with P&L responsibility. Additionally, he is a Professor at Parsons The New School For Design, where he has taught Retailing and Merchandising for 9+ years. He has been invited to lecture on Retailing at various industry conferences, as well as Columbia University (CBS), Cornell University (FSAD), Fashion Institute of Technology (GFM), Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Sloan), New York University (Stern), The University of Navarra (IESE), Parsons the New School For Design and The University of Rochester (Simon).

Arden Julia Kern

Arden is the manager of the Calvin Klein Women’s Collection Design studio in New York, NY. In this role she works closely with many influential designers, stylists and production professionals. Prior to this she held positions at Ralph Lauren in both Design and Production for Black Label and Collection. She has also done extensive Marketing and Event consulting for Reebootizer, USA. Prior to this she interned at Isaac Mizrahi, Alexander Wang, Helmut Lang, Theory and Alberta Ferretti in PR, Sales and Design roles. She is one of the co-founders of NYFRA.

Brittany Lutz

Brittany currently works as the Senior Assistant Buyer for AQUA, a women’s contemporary private label brand at Bloomingdale’s.  Before joining the ready-to-wear division, Brittany gained formative private label experience as the Assistant Buyer for Bloomingdale’s Diamonds and Fine Jewelry. Brittany has experience in various facets of retail, through internships at Jerry Tobias, Roberto Cavalli, Lacoste and Rent the Runway in Textile imports, PR, Merchandising and Marketing. She is currently a GlamourGals Foundation annual fundraiser Co-Chair and volunteers at the ASPCA.

Katie Elks

Katie is the Creative Director at Wool&Prince, a menswear apparel startup. She manages all design, fabric and product development, and production for the company. Before joining Wool&Prince, Katie worked as an assistant designer at Tracy Reese developing exclusive products for retailers such as Nordstrom and Anthropologie. She has also worked for J. Crew, Calvin Klein and Mandy Coon. Additionally, she has interned at Tracy Reese, Natori and The Row.
